We offer an awe-inspiring workplace in addition to employee amenities including: housing, employee dining room; kitchen hall and common areas for cooking, gathering, and socializing; employee activities, gym, and free shuttles for shopping, errands, and exploring. Please note that we do not offer relocation.
 
The majority of our roles are seasonal summer jobs, and we are looking for candidates who can work May through Mid-October depending on the position. Our Team

The team is a community of dedicated individuals who come together from diverse backgrounds, united by a shared commitment to outstanding guest experiences and genuine camaraderie. Whether you are serving guests at our upscale dining room, grab and go, or family casual dining or welcoming visitors at one of the front desks, maintaining one our historic buildings, or ensuring that every corner of the property is clean and cared for, your contribution matters.
 
Our roles span a wide range of responsibilities:
 
Food & Beverage — Our cooks, dishwashers, café associates, café supervisors, kitchen managers, and bartenders work together to deliver quality dining experiences that are as memorable as the views themselves. The kitchen is at the heart of the Lodge, and every member of the culinary team plays a vital role in its success. A family casual restaurant at Annie Creek Restaurant, grab and go meals and the Rim Cafe, and an ice cream shop in Mazama Village round off the other available options for whatever our guests are looking for.
 
Lodging & Guest Services — Front desk associates, night auditors, campground hosts, and housekeeping staff are the face of the multiple different lodging experiences offered around the park. From the moment guests arrive to the moment they depart, this team ensures every interaction is warm, professional, and attentive.
 
Maintenance — Our maintenance team keeps our amenities throughout the park running smoothly. Their work behind the scenes is essential to preserving this historic property and ensuring a safe, comfortable environment for guests and staff alike.
 
Retail — Retail team members help guests take a piece of Crater Lake home with them, offering a curated selection of merchandise that reflects the beauty and significance of the park.
 
Operations and Support Roles – our operations and support roles keep things running smoothly, safely, and efficiently throughout the park. From accounting, employee housing, warehouse, custodial, shuttles, and everything in between, our support roles work to ensure our guests and staff have what they need.

Many members of our leadership team began in entry-level positions.

Employee Housing

We offer 3 different housing options at Crater Lake. Between the Mazama Dormitory, and our recently purchased historic Prospect Hotel, you will be surrounded by the unsurpassed beauty of the Pacific Northwest. We also offer RV spots with 30-amp hookups if you happen to own an RV up to 34’ long.

Some of our housing options offer spacious furnished rooms, with storage. All rooms accommodate 4 to 6 employees and are furnished with new comfy mattresses. Our goal is to ensure your comfort and provide some quiet time, so we endeavor to schedule you and your roommates on separate work cycles. Be advised that you may have the opportunity to build friendships with 5 other people in your room. We do offer a limited number of co-ed rooms, and we ask that you bring no pets.

The housing cost is only $15/day and includes delicious meals provided in our dedicated employee dining area. A small kitchen area is provided for light microwave cooking and communal gathering. Both Mazama and the Prospect Hotel offer great places to unwind in the lounge areas that include TVs, a library and game tables. A security deposit of $150 will be returned at the end of the season if the rooms are in good condition when you depart.

All common areas and rooms offer Wi-Fi capability and our vibrant employee activities programs will keep you busy if you decide to participate in the myriad of offerings from spectacular hikes, to shopping excursions, to outdoor barbecues and so much more. You will also have access to an indoor gym which includes new workout equipment and weights. Free shuttle transportation is provided to and from the work locations in addition to scheduled activities. Your home-away-from-home offers all the modern comforts to make your Crater Lake work experience a memorable one.
